Winter Flowering Chionodoxa

Family: Liliaceae

Species: C. sardensis










Common Names: Glory-of-the-snow.

Classification: Bulb.

Height: 20cm (8inches).

Flowering: Late winter through into spring.

Usage: Grow them in winter and spring flowering borders or beds.

These garden plants are ideal for rock gardens.

Grow them in patio tubs and pots or window boxes for an exciting winter and spring display.

They are well suited for growing under trees and shrubs.

Site: Grow them in full full sun, they thrive in it!

They will also do well in partial shade.

Soil: Any moist but free draining soil.


Propagation Methods: By seed in autumn.

By division in late summer or spring.
