Winter Flowering Amaryllis


Genus: Amaryllis

Family: Amaryllidaceae

Species: A. belladonna


Common Names: Naked lady.

Classification: Autumn/Winter flowering bulb.

Height: 60cm (24inches).

Flowering: Throughout autumn and in to mid winter.

Usage: Grow amaryllis where they can be seen and enjoyed from a window, conservatory, or through patio doors.

Grown by the side of paths and driveways amaryllis can be enjoyed every time you walk or drive past them. Just the job to cheer you up this time of year.

They make an excellent cut flower.

Site: Grow them in full sun, they thrive in it!

They will do best sheltered from winds.

Soil: Any rich and free draining soil.


Propagation Methods: By division in late spring.
