Torenia


Torenia originate from Asia and East Africa and are a genus annuals with forty species.

Leaves serrated and oval to elliptical.

Flowers are tubular and coloured similar to pansies .

Species: T. fournieri




Common Names: Wishbone plant.

Classification: Annual.

Height: 20cm (8inches).

Flowering: Throughout summer.

Usage: Ideal in borders and beds.

These are ideal garden plants for hanging baskets and patio pots and tubs.

Site: Grow them in in partial shade and a sheltered position away from winds.

Soil: Fertile but very free draining soil.


Propagation Methods: By seed in spring.
