Common Names: Crocus.
Classification: Corm.
Height: 10cm (4inches).
Flowering: Late summer through into autumn.
Usage: Grow them at the front of summer and autumn flowering borders or beds.
They are a must under trees and shrubs.
Perfect for growing in clumps in short grass in wildlife gardens.
They make a splendid display in raised beds.
Crocus are ideal for rockeries, grow them in groups for best effect.
The use of crocus just goes on and on. Grow them in patio tubs and pots.
For a pure unadulterated pleasurable outlook grow them in window boxes. Especially kitchen window boxes, or other windows you spend a lot of time looking out of.
Site: Grow them in full sun, they thrive in it!
They will also do well in partial shade.
Soil: Any rich and very free draining soil.
