Genus: Scilla Family: Liliaceae
Species: S. bifolia.
Common Names: Bluebell, squill.
Classification: Bulb.
Height: 15cm (6inches).
Flowering: Throughout spring and into early summer.
Usage: Grow scilla in spring flowering borders or beds.
For a dramatic effect grow scilla in swathes under trees and shrubs.
Scill are ideal for growing in rock gardens.
Grow scilla in patio tubs and pots and window boxes for spring flowering displays.
Site: Scilla prefer full sun.
Scilla will also do well in partial shade.
Soil: Any moist but very free draining soil.
Propagation Methods: By seed in autumn.

By division in late summer.
Scilla freely increase on their own. So make use of this and replant new growth where required or just leave them to naturalise.
