How to Propagate and Grow
Sedum


Sedum originate from Asia and are a genus of succulent perennials.

Leaves are formed in crowded whorles and of varied shape.

Flowers are star like, tiny, five petalled and are in clusters some of which are borne on a upright stem.

Family: Crassulaceae

Species: S. spectabile




Common Names: Stonecrop, showy sedum.

Classification: Perennial.

Height: 45cm (18inches).

Flowering: From summer through autumn.

Usage: Ideal for borders and beds.

These garden plants are well suited to rock gardens provided they are well drained.

They are excellent bee and insect attracting plants.

Site: Grow them in full sun, they thrive in it!

Soil: Any rich and very free draining soil.


Propagation Methods: By seed in spring.

How to sow seeds

By division in spring and autumn.

Soft wood cuttings in summer.
