Common Names: Pickerel weed.
Classification: Perennial.
Height: 1200cm (48inches).
Flowering: Throughout summer.
Usage: Ideal for the edge of ponds and streams. Pontederia are ideal for bog gardens.
Site: Pontederia prefer full sun, they thrive in it!
Soil: Boggy, marginal aquatic.
Propagation Methods: By seed when ripe in late summer to mid spring.
You must sow this seed immediately after collecting.
This wil increase your propagtion success rate dramatically.
Older seed has a very low germination rate.
Best germination temperature: 50 deg F.
