Common Names: Poinsettia.

Classification: Shrub.

Height: 90cm (18inches).

Usage: Interesting and attractive indoor flowering plant.

Ideal as a Christmas gift for family, loved ones and friends or a treat just for yourself.

Makes an excellent Christmas table decoration.

Site: Requires full light during winter period, but shaded from direct sunlight.

Maintain a temperature around 60 deg F. for flowering.

In dormant period maintain a temperature around 55 deg F.

Mist frequently while in flower to improve humidity.

Soil: Any good quality houseplant compost (peat based or non peat based), add hortucultural sand or grit to improve drainage.

Do not allow poinsettia to stand in water.


Propagation Methods:

By seed in autumn and spring.

Best germination temperature: 70 deg F.
