Pelargonium



Genus: Pelargonium

Family: Geraniaceae

Species: P. zonal hybrids


Common Names: Geranium, ivy leaved geranium.

Classification: Perennial.

Height: 60cm (24inches).

Flowering: From spring and throughout summer.

Usage: This garden plant is ideal for the front of borders and beds.

Grow pelargoniums in patio pots and tubs, hanging baskets, window boxes, indeed any plant container.

Site: Pelargonium prefer full sun, they thrive in it!

Be careful with the watering, pelargonium do not like over moist conditions.

Soil: Any very free draining soil.


Propagation Methods: By softwood cuttings in spring, summer or autumn.




A nice healthy pelargonium cutting rotted in a plug pot.

This cutting is the right size to be potted on into a 7.5cm (3inch) pot.
