How to Propagate and Grow Ophiopogon
Genus: Ophiopogon Family: Convallariaceae/Liliaceae
Species: o. planiscapus
Common Names: Lilyturf, mondo grass, black dragon, arabicus, ebony knight.
Classification: Perennial.
Height: 20cm (8inches).
Flowering: Throughout summer.
Usage: Ideal for edge of borders and beds. Grow ophiopogon in rock gardens or raised beds.
Site: Ophiopogon prefer full sun, they thrive in it! Ophiopogon will also do well in partial shade.
Soil: Any rich, moisture retentive but free draining soil.
Propagation Methods: By seed in spring.
Best germination temperature: 50 deg F.
