How To Propagate And Grow Mandevilla
Mandevilla originate from Central and South Africa and are a genus of woody, twinning annuals.
Leaves are oval or oblonged to a fine pint.
Flowers are trumpet shape, some of which are scented and grow in clusters.

Height: 5m (15feet).
Flowering: Throughout summer.
Usage: Ideal for climbing up trellis at the back of borders.
Grow them up pergolas, especially those that are fragrant. And everytime you walk through the pergola you can enjoy the scent, which is similar to jasmine.
Try growing them in shrub borders so they twine through the shrubs, most effective.
Site: Grow them in partial shade.
Soil: Fertile but free draining soil. Needs plenty of water throughout summer.
Propagation Methods: By seed in autumn.
How to sow seeds
By semi ripe cuttings in mid to late summer.
Plant the semi ripe cuttings in a heated propagator to provide bottom heat. This will rapidly encourage root growth.
