How to Propagate and Grow
Limonium


Limonium originate from the Mediterranean region and are a large genus of perennials.

Leaves are oval shape or lance shape, lobed with wavey sometimes serated edges.

Flowers grow in clusters and are tubular shape or dense rosettes.

Family: Plumbaginaceae

Species: L. latifolium





Common Names: Sea lavender, wide leaf sea lavender.

Classification: Perennial.

Height: 90cm (36inches).

Flowering: Throughout summer.

Usage: Ideal grown in groups at the back of borders and general beds.

They make ideal cut flower or dried flower displays.

Site: Grow them in full sun, they thrive in it!

Soil: Any very free draining soil but not permanently dry.


Propagation Methods: By seed in spring.

Best germination temperature: 70 deg F.

Time from sowing to germination 3 - 21 days.
