Lantana


Lantana originate from Central America and are a large genus of perennials.

Some plants have a trailing habit and most are dense in growth.

Leaves are oval and crinkled.

Flowers are small and tubular.


Genus: Lantana

Family: Verbenaceae

Species: L. montevidensis










Common Names: Lantana.

Classification: Perennial.

Height: 50cm (20inches).

Flowering: Throughout summer.

Usage: Ideal as ground cover in borders and beds.

Well suited to growing down banks or on stone walls.

Site: Grow them in full sun, they thrive in it!

Soil: Any well composted and very free draining soil.


Propagation Methods: By seed in spring.

How to sow seeds

By semi ripe cuttings end of summer to early spring.
