Common Names: Blood grass, Japanese blood grass.
Classification: Perennial.
Height: 60cm (24inches).
Flowering: From mid to late summer.
Usage: Ideal for borders and beds. Imperata make a fantastic display if planted in groups of three to five as a focal point.
Site: Imperata prefer full sun, they thrive in it! Imperata will also do well in partial shade.
Soil: Fertile, humus rich, moisture retaining but free draining soil.
Propagation Methods: By seed from early to late spring.
