How To Propagate And Grow
Hydrangea


Hydrangea originate from Japan and are a genus of around twenty species of shrubs or root climbers.

Leaves are oval, large with serated edges.

Flowers are small in flat or domed clusters.


Genus: Hydrangea

Family: Hydrangeaceae

Species: H. macrophylla




Common Names: Hydrangea.

Classification: Perennial. Evergreen shrub.

Height: 1.5m (60inches).

Flowering: Throughout summer.

Usage: Ideal at the back of larger borders and beds.

Will grow well, and creates a splendid display when grown in patio pots and tubs.

Site: Grow them in full sun, they thrive in it!

They will also do well in partial shade.

Soil: Any well composted, moist, but very free draining soil.


Propagation Methods: By soft wood cuttings mid summer.
