Cultivar: x hybrida


Common Names: Freesia.

Classification: Corm.

Height: 45cm (18inches).

Flowering: Summer through to autumn.

Usage: Grow freesia in autumn flowering borders or beds.

Freesia make excellent cut flowers and are usually grown for this purpose.

Site: Freesia prefer full sun, they thrive in it!

Freesia need shelter from cold winds to survive.

Freesias will not survive winter outdoors. After flowering has finished, lift and discard.

Buy new corms each season.

Soil: Any free draining soil.


Propagation Methods: It is not viable to try and propagate the autumn flowering F. x hybrida.
