Eremurus

Eremurus originate from Central Asia and are a genus of fleshy rooted perennials.

Flowers are borne in long, upright, tight racemes.

Genus: Eremurus

Family: Asphodelaceae/Liliaceae

Species: E. robustus

Common Names: Foxtail lily, desert candle, King's spear.

Classification: Perennial.

Height: 300cm (120inches).

Flowering: From early spring through to summer.

Usage: Ideal for back of borders.

Site: Grow them in full sun, they thrive in it!

They are best grown in a sheltered spot away from winds and may need staking.

Time from sowing to germination: fresh seed, 7 - 21 days.

Time from sowing to germination: older seed, unpredictable.
