How to Propagate and Grow Epilobium
Epilobium originates from Europe and is a genus of perennials.
Leaves are glossy and oval or toothed and linear or lance shape.
Flowers are cup shaped, spiked in racemes.

Species: E. angustifolium
Common Names: Rosebay, rosebay willowherb, willowherb, fireweed, fireweed rosebay.
Classification: Perennial.
Height: 150cm (60inches).
Flowering: From summer through to end of autumn.
Usage: Ideal for general borders and beds.
They are excellent in wildlife gardens.
These garden plants can be invasive so be carful where you plant them. You will need to constantly manage them to prevent invasion.
Site: Grow them in full sun, they thrive in it!
They will also do well in partial shade.
Soil: Humus rich, moist but free draining.
Propagation Methods: By seed from early to late spring.
Best germination temperature: 40 deg F.
Time from sowing to germination: 3 months onwards.
Very slow and sparodic germination, so be patient!
