Leaves are narrow lance shape and are mostly of greyish green or silvery colour. Flowers can be single, semi double or double. Sizes range from around 3cm (1 1/2inch) to 8cm (3inch) across. Many are scented. This garden plant is also well known as carnations and pinks. Carnations must be the most popular and widest used cut flowers by florists, indeed by anyone who uses cut flowers.
