Leaves are tiny, soft and delicate almost fern like. Flowers are long tubular, two lipped and spured. Flower colours, depending on species, are white, yellow, blue, white and yellow, red and white, or pink.

By seed from early to late spring. Best germination temperature: 70 deg F. Time from sowing to germination: 12 - 18 weeks. Very slow at germinating so be patient! Corydalis self seed profusely, so make the most of this. Carefully dig up the clumps of seedlings in spring and transplant them to where you want them to grow. More plants free for life! By division in early spring.
