How to Propagate and Grow
Cortaderia


Cortaderia originate from South America and are a genus of clump forming perennials.

Leaves are long and narrow which are very sharp. Use gloves when handling.

Flowers in plumes of erect silvery panicles.

Flowers of female plants are more elaborate with their silky delicate plumes.

These are exceptionaly good plants for larger gardens, especially when used as a focal point.

Common Names: Pampas grass.

Where to plant info

Cortaderia are a must for larger gardens where they will enhance most plantings.

Where: This tall, stately grass should be planted as a specimen plant for everyone to see!

Site: Grow them in full sun, they thrive in it!.

Pampas grass will benefit from a sheltered position away from strong, cold winds..

Soil: Any rich and free draining soil.
