Species: S. 'Buckleyi'




Common Names: Christmas cactus.

Classification: Perennial cacti.

Height: 15cm (6inches).

Trails: to 30cm (12inches)

Flowering: Mid winter. Flowers are usually in full bloom at Christmas!

Usage: Interesting and attractive indoor flowering cactus plant.

Ideal as a Christmas gift for family, loved ones and friends or a treat just for yourself.

Makes an excellent Christmas table decoration.

Site: Requires full light, but shaded from direct sunlight.

Maintain a temperature around 65 deg F. for flowering.

In dormant period maintain a temperature around 55 deg F.

Mist frequently to improve humidity.

Soil: Any good quality houseplant compost (peat based or non peat based).


Propagation Methods:

By seed in spring.

Best germination temperature: 70 deg F.

How to sow seeds

By stem cuttings in spring or early summer.
