How to Propagate and Grow
Chionodoxa


Chionodoxa are native to Crete, Cyprus and Turkey and are a genus of perennial spring flowering bulbs.

The most common type is C. luciliae and is a dwarf species growing to 15cm (6inches).

Flowers are dainty, blue and white or pink and white, with six petals and are star shaped.

Leaves are mid-green sword like which wither back after flowers finish blooming.

They self seed profusely and will establish quickley in most locations if you leave the seedlings to grow on.

Where to grow info These gardening plants are a must for any spring flowering arrangement in your garden. Their brilliant flowers will cheer you up as they flower their socks off for four to six weeks in early spring.

By seed in autumn.

They will self seed profusely, so leave the seedlings to grow on or carefully lift them and pot them in pots of potting compost.

Grow the seedlings on for a year, then plant them out in your garden where you want them to grow. More plants free for life!
